Dear subscribers to MN-prog-events, The mailing list MN-prog-events [at] yahoogroups.com will be moved on Saturday. If you do not wish to be subscribed to the new list, please You can easily unsubscribe via the web address at the end of this and every message from the list: http://justcomm.org/mn-prog-events/ For assistance, email Fred <fholson [at] cohousing.org> Mailings will have a tag on the subject line: [PROG] After the move, the MN-prog-events Yahoo list will not be distributing email. (all MN-prog-events [at] yahoogroups.com have been set to no mail mode) The Yahoo group will continue to exist and receive and archive messages (including SPAM) but no management will be done. Fred fholson [at] cohousing.org Communication for Justice http://justcomm.org --- details from Aug 8, 2005 message ---- It will be hosted at http://justcomm.org using the Open Source Mailman software. The move will solve the problem of Spam getting distributed. Also the archives and messages will be free of the advertising that Yahoo adds. Please do not encourage new subscriptions to the new list until after the move except as a test - moved subs will replace any subs at the time of the move. The move will also relieve Progree (John Johnson) of the list management task; he's ready to move on. John, thanks for all your efforts. Note that Nygaard Notes (which is not really an event announcement) will no longer be redistributed over MN-prog-events after the move. We urge you to subscribe directly to Nygaard notes or read it via the web. Both can be done at http://www.nygaardnotes.org/ We may work out a way to announce new issues of Nygaard Notes with a link to the web version. I have some ideas for improving the list eventually. Like getting people to announce their events directly on the new list further in advance (2 weeks ?) than David Shove announces things (0-2 days). David's chronological order digest would continue to be useful. If you have comments or questions, feel free to send me email.
