They advocate for an improved "Medicare for all" health system:  Equal
care for those living in the park and those living on New York's Park
Avenue.  For profit insurance should play no role in an efficient and just
system.  No insurance? Staying in the Cities over the Memorial Day Weekend
because of your medical bills?  Want to find out about PNHP and other

CRASS Presents: A Community Anti-Oppression Workshop
Sunday, May 24
Noon-4pm

Coming up on 9 months after the RNC: most charges have been dropped,
relationships have grown (or been strained), and struggles for justice
continue.  But WHO is continuing to do this work?  Who is not?  Towards
which ends and by which processes are we re-formulating our long-term
goals?  For what reasons did we struggle last September in the first
place?

At this workshop, a facilitator from Training for Change who has a long
history of engaging in revolutionary struggle will help us engage in
examining how we work with each other as we strive for our radical
visions.  Warning: this workshop will NOT be a place to address individual
conflicts, to engage in "oppression Olympics" (CRASS supports olympic
resistance!), or to leave feeling our anti-oppression commitment has been
completed.  On the other hand, this workshop WILL be a place for
confronting issues of privilege, identity and accountability; developing
and learning concrete strategies for ally work; and stepping towards the
stronger communities we must maintain in order to achieve revolutionary
goals of any stripe.

our liberations will always be bound together.

About the movie: How far would you go to stop a war? "The Camden 28"
recalls a 1971 raid on a Camden, N.J., draft board office by "Catholic
Left" activists protesting the Vietnam War and its effects on urban
America. Arrested on site in a clearly planned sting, the protesters
included four Catholic priests, a Lutheran minister, and 23 others. The
Camden 28 reveals the story behind the arrests - a provocative tale of
government intrigue and personal betrayal - and the ensuing legal battle,
which Supreme Court Justice William Brennan called "one of the great
trials of the 20th century." Thirty-five years later, the participants
take stock of the motives, fears, and costs of their activism - and its
relevance to America today.

About the Indiana arrestees: Hugh and Tiga are long-time Bloomington, IN
residents and activists who were recently arrested and now face an
assortment of misdemeanor and felony charges for the community organizing
work they've done in resistance to I-69. I-69 is part of the NAFTA
superhighway, already constructed from Canada to Indianapolis and in parts
of Mexico, Central and South America. This highway is meant to provide
multi-national corporations a more cost-effective way to move goods and
capital throughout each country, allowing them to cheaply exploit the
people and natural resources of Latin America and lessening companies'
accountability in terms of human and environmental rights. Its
construction in Indiana requires evicting hundreds of rural families,
destroying hundreds of acres of land, and devastating the habitats of
countless species of animals, many of them already endangered.

in St. Paul, MN.
