Description of event:  

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is proud to help kick off the sailing season
with an exciting event.  Emmy-award-winning sailing commentator Gary Jobson
will share his favorite stories and show two action packed videos on the
highs and lows of speed sailing.  Topics include the 2009 12 Meter World
Championship, the New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup, US Sailing Team's
highlights of the Beijing Olympic Games, and long distance racing.  The
event will also give you an opportunity to learn more about The Leukemia Cup
Regatta, mingle with fellow sailors and provide you with the tools necessary
to raise funds to help fight leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Description of event:  

The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a thrilling series of sailing events that
combines the joy of sailing with the important task of raising money to cure
cancer. Since its inception, sailors from across the country have raised
millions of dollars for lifesaving research and patient services, bringing
help and hope to patients and their families.  Minnesota's seventh annual
Leukemia Cup Regatta will be held September 10-12 in White Bear Lake, MN.
Festivities include up to five races, Mount Gay Rum cocktail reception,
dinner, silent auction, and fundraising and sailing awards.  Come take part
in this fall tradition, as we bring sailors together for a weekend of
sailing, socializing and helping to find a cure!
