8th Annual Winter Solstice Peace Vigil
Sunday, December 19, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Corner of Snelling and Summit
Avenues, St. Paul.

Light a candle for peace on the darkest night of the year. Bring a candle
and join neighbors from throughout the Twin Cities to quietly witness for
peaceful solutions to world problems. After the vigil, warm up and
socialize at a local Grand Avenue restaurant or coffee shop (to be
determined). If you can't attend the vigil, light a candle in your window
for peace and be with us in spirit. Note: This event will not be held if

Full Moon - Winter Solstice Eclipse
Devotion to Sweet Darkness
Monday, December 20 at midnight into Tuesday, December 21, 2010

On the darkest night of the year, celebrate the full moon lunar eclipse -
an amazing double sky event, outdoors, at the last sacred spring in
Hennepin County.

The eclipse, visible here, begins at 12:32 AM Tuesday morning and is full
at 2:13 AM.

We will have sacred Coldwater water, a fire, and a labyrinth to walk
created by Earth artist extraordinaire Paul Eaves. Friends of Coldwater is
sponsoring the ritual with members of Minnesota Reclaiming including
astrologer Teri Starnes and Paganistan storyteller Steven Wise Posch.

Bring: firewood, a chair, an offering for the land (sage, flowers,
tobacco, a homemade amulet, etc).

Dress: for the weather & then add another layer & of course, snow boots

Directions: Coldwater Spring is south of Minnehaha Park, in Minneapolis.
From Hwy 55/Hiawatha, turn East (toward the Mississippi) at 54th Street,
take an immediate right, & drive South on the frontage road for ½-mile past
the parking meters, through the cul-de-sac & the gates, & past the abandoned
buildings. Follow the curvy road left & then right down to the pond, next to
the great willow tree.

Please leave your beloved pets at home. This is a drug and alcohol-free
