Tiger Technologies experienced a network problem that led to our account management database server being offline for a little over an hour today (approx. 4:25 - 5:45 PM PDT). The main effect of this was that if you tried to login to manage your account settings, you saw an error message. However, as part of the fix, we restarted our network routers at about 5:45 PM, causing all customer Web sites and e-mail services to be unavailable for about three minutes. (No incoming e-mail was lost; it was just not possible to read or send new mail during that period.) All services are now working normally. We are confident that we now understand the cause of the problem, and we do not anticipate further trouble. (However, we may intentionally restart one or more servers or routers late tonight as we attempt to reproduce the problem to be sure that it is cured, interrupting services again for up to three minutes for some customers.)
