Dear Tiger Technologies E-Mail Users,
Starting at about 7:15 am Pacific time today, and continuing for a little over two hours, mail delivery through our servers was very slow in some cases. No mail was lost, but it wasn't delivered as quickly as it should have been: delays ranged from a couple of minutes to over an hour in a few cases.
The problem has been completely resolved. All queued mail has been delivered and there are no more delays.
This problem happened because a widespread virus is using one of our customer's e-mail addresses to send forged messages, resulting in an incoming barrage of "bounces" far exceeding our normal mail levels. We now have rules in place to block such messages, and the problem should not recur.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or annoyance that this problem caused you. We know you rely on us for prompt mail delivery, and we strive to always meet that expectation.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you.
